Busy packing our bags and i gawddamn swear that we will exceed our baggage badly ..at least not us..just my godma and Arggh..my all so WONDERFUL sister-in-law. Not being mean here but they dont exactly function their brain well enuough when it comes to buying stuffs cuz at least 1/2 of the stuffs i spotted in their baggage can be found in bloody singapore...whats the point of buying it here??? Ahhh..whateva
Retire early .....got a flight to catch!

::: More Sightseeing :::

As usual..the adventure world itenary didn't work out cuz I was told that it wasn't worth the trip. Okay..so I heed his advice and went to AQWQ instead.Just beside Hilary Habour. My first time stepping into the underwater world. Pretty interesting to see the sharks and stingrays swimming. I was fascinated with the Moon Jelly Fish...thats bcuz they gives out luminous light. Anything that glows in the dark or has some kinda light interests me =)
Too bad..there aint any dolphin. The scenary of Hilary Beach was fantabulous too. View of the sea, sand and the houses on the hill .One of my dream house to be situated on the hill near the sea. Couldn't get enough of Hilary Beach...we moved off to Scarborough beach..another 'D beach' to check out.Yes indeed...the scenary was spectacular.

Pictures will be up very soon! i promised

::: Sight Seeing :::

Felt alittle better today...had to set off early to avoid someone in the house..VIP. Got to swanbell to check out the different types of ancient bells and learn how to ring the bell the right way. Check out the WA museum...definitely more interesting than Sg museum. Being an art student... Perth Art Gallery is a definite stop over but most of the paintings were from australia. Not that impressive i would say. Still left some time...we head off to Carousel to grab the apple rings and our daily dosage of supplement of "Fruit Smoothie" from BOOST.

::: Subiaco Finally :::

At last.....we made our way down to SUBIACO but it turned out disappointing. Nothing much to see or do over there. Didn't have the mood to shop or do anything ...wonder if it had got to do with what I saw @ Metro City the night before....Arrggh...maybe i shouldn't even had come to Perth in the 1st place....athough it had been so long ago but it is hard to forget.

::: D night @ METRO CITY :::

I think i can pass off as the local here. Showing extreme signs of their laid-back culture. Was s'posed to go to Subiaco but somehow my legs and my brain refused to coordinate hence sat down in the entertainment room and slack as usual. Went church in the evening and has a birthday dinner party. FOOD, FOOD & more FOOD! Home Cooked Food was delicious but couldnt afford to eat anymore cuz Metro City was D night!

Reached Metro City around 11.15pm...Met up with my friends at the entrance and my gawd..alreadi spotted quite a handful of good looking guys..ha! It was jam packed. OMG..overwhelming of good looking guys and they aint caucasian. Suprisingly, all the worth looking guys were either asian or of asian mixed parentage. 9 out of 10 asian guys that brushed past me are suave or cute. Nose Bleeding profusely man...haha JK! Apart from the blessed cute guys...music was absolutely GOOD! R&B and HipHop all the way with special DJ appearance from UK and some moulin rough performances. The whole night was "whooa whooa....." Although we were squeezing at the dance floor, it was worth bumming into the cute guys around ...unlike the clubs in Singapore....Uhmm
Just as I was having a time of my life...I saw that someone with his new gf...very old-looking. Damn...I can't believe Perth is THAT small for me to bump into them especially that bytch.I resigned to fate.

Aight..stayed there til 2 cuz cousin gotta fly the next day. Okay Peeps esp gals...Do remember to stop by @ Metro City if ur in Perth..it is 'D club' to go to if you dig R&B music and gorgeous guys..haha! After this night.... i dont think i will ever want to go clubbing in singapore again.Bad music, bad people around....Haiks!

We made out way to K Mart @ Westfield Carousel to grab the exclusive Pie maker which was going for a reduced price of $19.90.More weightage to our luggage AGAIn..Oh and plus Beng Beng's 2 lava lamps.He better be grateful to me. Since it was thurs late night shopping, made our way down to the city by train.

::: I PASSED :::

Pop called to give me my student no...checked it and PHEW! i made it..now i can ease my mind and enjoy. Went back to Livingston to grab some stuffs from BIG W. Aight....our crazy legs struck again... we walked back home...took us about an hour.This time, no highway ...just main road and freeway. Luckily, our memory bank has enough space for us to remember our way back home. It's time to call for a celebration..Whip out our strawberry wine and sat down in our D couch @ the entertainment room watching corny movies whilst drinking to our hearts content...Down a bottle of wine EACH and no sign of tipsy-ness.HA! I think we have achieved our objective...to be able to hold our liquor..HA!

::: 41.5 degrees celcius in 30 years :::

The blazing temperature of 41.5 degrees hit Perth today after 30 years. Call us mad or what but the hot temperature didnt stop us to go sun tanning @ Cottesloe beach. Well.we were not the only crazy ones..there were heaps of people sun tanning,swimming and stuffs. The beach scenary is fantabulous..clear water and white sand...very typical default wallpaper in windows computer.Of cuz...photo sluts are in action to take out their camera and start flashing their flash lights around.No evidence of photo taken at the beach is as good as u didnt step in cott beach..
Oh..i caught sight of 2 fins when i was taking a shot of Grace...
so i was like "err..grace i think i saw black tail swimming."
Grace:"serious? shark is it?"
Me:"I dont know, but it do look like one"
Grace:"where where where"(quickly took out her camera,waiting to capture the "shark")
(waiting patiently...this angmoh family beside us saw it too)
Me:"There...U saw it?"
Grace:"YAYA i saw it. Do u think its shark?"
Me:"Is there shark in this beach or is it whale?"
Grace:"or is it dolphin?"
(Spot the fins once again)
Me:"Yea, its dolphin"
Didnt manage to capture the dolphins,they were too fast.
My friend wanted us to go to his house to play risk...HA! RISK!..when was the last time i played risk...eons years ago man.The mention of Risk,reminds me of my nickname badtz maru,compliments from Melvyn Brown. Speak about him...i think he should be in Thailand now...surrounded by all the Natibus...haha poor him.

Anyways...we didnt play in the end...went to Garden City instead to meet my relatives.
Another round of shopping...we bought 2 Havaianas flipflop.A pity,they didnt have the design with the strap behind. Damn! Suddenly received the news that our results are out today...anxious to know yet afraid that my Psychology paper cant pull through. Have to wait for pop to ring me and give me my student no tomorrow.
GOD BLESS ME!

Everybody..lets say "Ke-wa-la"

Finally..we got to be close with oz native animals - koalas, Kangaroos,Wallaby, wombat,tasmanian devil. Caversham Wildlife Park housed many different types of animals.
Seriously, I feel that the fur from koala plush toy is nicer to cuddle than the real fur. .same goes to the wombat.My gawd....really bad hair day they have.Serious grooming is needed to upkeep them man. Feels alittle yikes carrying them. Fed the kangaroos...didnt manage to see any joey in the pouch or witnessed any kangaroo boxing each other..ha!

My friend felt the crave of pinching free chocolates, so he drove us down to the margaret river chocolate factory. Whoa..2 whole gunny sack of brown and white chocolates for customers to taste. Not shy, my friend dug his whole hand in to scoup up a handful of the chocolate. okok...we did the same but only 1/4 handful cuz the chocolate melts in your hand almost instantly.Hey...before u wana call us CHEAPOS or TYPICAL SINGYS...No alrite...we did buy their chocolates.

Was about to head to the strawberry field when we saw a sign which say FREE TASTING OF WINE AND CHEESE..AHA! U guess as much, we went there.FINE..we are CHEAPOS but after tasting several wines..we bought a bottle of dessert wine each cuz it taste REALLY GOOD.

Okay...moving on to the strawberry field...seemed like the journey was forever. It was alreadi 5.15 when we reached there..thank god,the lady boss was chatting with her friend and she let us in to buy the strawberry wine and mango jam. Mango Jam was terrific..rich and yummy!

Fulfiling trip today...Im gona take a bath now and we are gona drink a bottle of wine whilst watching the meteorite showers.

::: Home Sweet Home :::

At last! Home sweet home in Hollyoak. Since it was sunday, we went to Gosnell Railway Market cuz Aunt Marina wanted to buy some stuffs. Check out Singapore Flying College after that.kelvin tour us around, went inside the cockpit.Boy! too many buttons and gadgets...very confusing. Headed to the City to meet up with the rest. Their city comprises with just 2 rows of shops..nothing compared to our Orchard Road...Ooh and believe it or not..they dont have shops like Louis Vuitton,Burberrys,Ralph Lauren,Gucci,Prada...mainly their home brands stores and surf clothes.
Dinner was settled at North Bridge Road, James St.An Italian restaurant famous for their chilli mussels. Their Pizza and Spaghetti tasted delicious too! Pizzas in OZ tasted so much better than here. Opposite the resturant was this pub named,"THE CHURCH".Aha..it used to be a church but was converted into a pub. Wonders if their bouncers are made to don in a priest's outfit and the waitresses don in nun's outfit..LOL! Too bad,it was closed.

Saturday, December 11, 2004

::: Around G.C :::

Damit! The earlier post didnt work...damn pc.Now i have to retype the whole damn blog once again. Aight...get to the point..after days of entertainment...its time for what gals like doing best,"RETAIL THERAPY"! Went in to this Fashion shop and whack quite a number of outfits.The tops looked rather gawgy..err if u know what i mean.Head back to Harbour town which was closed when we went there the other day.Shopping, toilet breaks and more shopping until it started to pour heavily again. Had to seek shelter and ended up having tea time..Tea with scone...whooa acting like the rest of the locals.
More shopping and walking the following day. Got tired of G.C actually and I can't wait to head back home..err as in home in Perth..HA! Comfortably,spitting out Perth as my hometown whenever the locals in G.C asked where we came from.
HA...it was time for us to set off to Colangantta Airport...its time to head back home...Yipee! If i did mention about virginblue plane...I would like to reinforce...DONT DONT DONT take virginblue in future and including all the other airline which gives you cheap air ticket pricing. Seat aint comfortable,NO serving of food and water and the plane moves ultra slow.It took about 5 hours to reach Perth 1 hour later than the normal flight time.

Friday, December 10, 2004

Moving Around

Nothing will be complete if shopping is not included in a gal's itenary. yes ..we did massive retail therapy at Supre and back to Harbour Town cuz it was closed when we went there the other day. So we bought quite abit...had our tea time and time to head back.Same routine for the last day. Dread taking virginblue back but havent got any choice. The plane was practically NOT moving for quite some time and we took close to 5hours to reach perth domestic airport. HA! the distance from Brisbane to Perth is roughly the same from Singapore to Perth Never knew Australia is sucha farking big country yet they are so laid-back! They should just give a small quantity of WA land to us.

::: Dreamworld :::

Dreamworld today despite the unpredictable weather...couldnt care less about the rain anymore. The rides were overwhelming..Oh yea! I sat on "the giant drop" which is in the world guiness book of being the tallest entertainment ride in the world.Whooaa...so proud of myself. The cart brings you up to 35 storey high and hangs there for a moment.When u least expected it...it suddenly plunged down real fast..say about 150km/h RIGHT DOWN to the ground..It was a fantabulous experience.Thought i would be afraid but actually it aint. The other rides like "Wipe Out" and " The Claw" were one of the other thrilling rides too. Turns u 360 around and hangs u up there at some weird position which makes u feel like ur gona slide down from your seat. Ooo there was this ride "Vortex"...its kinda interesting. You get in to this spaceship like container and you have got to stand to try this ride..No seating. The spaceship will start to turn really fast and u will feel that u r in a washing machine..getting sucked by the static inside! I think i should be certified of being able to take thrill rides...but if i were to go to Japan to sit those rides..hmmm i think i might piss in my pants..ha! That should be all for Dreamworld....Too bad i didnt get to see spongebob squarepants and the rest of the Nickelodean characters.

::: MOVIEWORLD :::

Up early in the morning. Set off early to Movieworld...one of 'D place' which i've always wana visit. This is the day that I'd fulfilled one of the many 'must visit' places around the world.
Arrgh...was drizzling when i reached there...almost everyone was covered with the branded Poncho labelled movieworld. Bump into Austin Power..wanted to tell him "U wana shag now or shag lata" but only managed to take a pic with him..anyway i reckon he would think im bollocks if i were to say that. Took some of the rides...and of cuz heaps of photo takings...c'mon how many times would i go to G.C...so make full use of it. Bad weather equals to bad photos!
Frankly, the rides @ movieworld were just an appetizer for me. The real big meal awaits @ Dreamworld. Stayed on to catch the WB parade show.. By 5pm ...everyone had to hit the road and hide in their nutshell..err just alittle exaggerating..! Surfer Paradise was filled with Jpops..Arrgh ruined the whole paradise area.

::: Queensland, The Sunshine Coast :::

VirginBlue Domestic Airplane SUCK big time.Service, exterior,interior totally NULL. For once, I feel proud of Singapore Airlines. Anyways...reached Colangantta airport @ 6plus and damn..we were welcomed by the harsh rain and i thought it is s'posed to be SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER..where ever did Mr Sun hide to? Itenary had to be called off due to bad weather so off to Pacific Fair Shopping Mall instead...another mega mall. This is where u can see all the surfer shops...the genuine surfer shops whereby the products that are sold are of heaps of varieties but but....its NOT cheap at all....wonder which buggar started the spam about surfer stuffs are very cheap in OZ...thats utter rubbish.

Guess what...did something remarkable.... we walked from surfer paradise back to our accommodation...u think its not far? wait til i upload the map. We had to walk on the long Highway(xpressway) bridge crossing the Nirang River..say about 5km of walking.... Not trying to save money here but we didnt have the bus timetable and god knows what buses goes there.

::: Last Day in Perth :::

Was S'posed to sleep in today , however some kind neighbour offered to take us to another mega mall , Centro Galleria up Northern Perth. Thought it would be quite a shabby mall but hey..it was much better than i'd expected.
Bought this cool shot glass chess set game....sounds interesting.
Ate Red Rooster Colonial Burger..as usual the serving was overwhelming...supersize !
Head back home early to pack our bags to set off to Gold Coast that every evening.... Whee..G.C here i come! =)

This time, we went to Mannings to have Dim Sum Buffet for $11aud..what cheap deal i must say. The Dim Sum over there tasted pretty aight..the skin of the "Ha Gow" was hard..of cuz they can't beat the authentic HK dim sum which i ate back in HK.
Okay...finally something bad to comment about OZ....shopping hours are CRAZY.
Mon-Wed starts from 8am- 5pm,
Thurs starts from 8am - 9pm,
Fri starts from 8am - 5.30pm,
Sat starts from 9am - 5.30pm and some of the shopping malls doesnt even open on SUNDAY...THATS MAD! How can any shopping mall NOT open on sabbath day where everyone is free from work and would most prolly head down to a mall to shop.
Since Lyd is staying at Canning Vale which is 1 junction away from Thornlie,we decided to walk ....ahhh but we realised it wasnt that near afterall...dumb Gordon who gave me the wrong info.Forget it...don't bear grudges..eventually Lyd fetched us.Gotta thank my friend for their generosity for inviting us over to get connected to the internet world once again...cuz our internet connection back home was Fuked Up!..Opps

::: 3rd Day :::

Ha!...u guess it.... the laid-back life has begin to struck me. We actually stayed home to bake pies and went for house xmas deco checking. People must be thinking how crazy we were...fancy wasting time at home baking pies instead of checking out other places in Perth.Well..what to do...when ur in Rome,do what the Romans do..ha!
Dine @ a so-called D most famous Vietnamese Restaurant @ Northbridge Rd...Spk about NorthBridge..it is the Perth version of our M.S. The nightlife teritory. Drove past Metro City...another "D most happening Club" to check out...from the outside, it looked VERY happening..reckon it should be way much better than any club in SG..WHATS NEW!
After dinner...went to King's Park (mt Faber) to check out the overview of Perth City...not that fantastic view..perhaps it was too dark....

2nd Day

Off to Freo to check out D famous Fish N Chips.A long way there but it was worth the travel.Seafood in OZ is very fresh and the Calamari and Fish are totally different from here..U get to taste more of the fish than the flour but it is the other way around in sg..how sad. Oh...forgot to mention about the transperth system.It is infact cheaper than sg cuz u pay say $3 and u get to take the train without having to pay..just use the same $3 ticket from the bus..as long as you are travelling within 2 hours or alternatively get the All-day rider for $7.50 and u can travel unlimited rides either by bus, train or ferry..if only there is such good offer here. Ha...suddenly i feel so anti-sg

Waltzing Maltida

Arrived @ Perth International Airport early in the morning. Was welcomed with such a chilly weather...and it was s'posed to be summer...hmm...
Anyways...Aunt Marina's hse is about 20mins from the airport. Damn!..Aunt Marina's house and her compound is like about 5 times bigger than my home.Anyways...settled down and typical us who can't sit down for long....we took the bus down to CAROUSEL shopping megamall...it is "D MALL" that everyone would hang out...itheir mega mall is indeed MEGAMALL...no kidding. Megamall with their main 4 Bros mega mart - K Mart, Target, Woolworths and Coles..i would say something like our NTUC,Cold Storag and what else?...sheesh i forgot!
Met up with Lyd too to pass the 2 dozens of cigarette..whooa like a chimney.
It rained towards the evening..hit to about 12 degrees...WICKED! =)
